Culture and Field Trips
Visits to museums and places of interest, are an essential element to academic life. Throughout the school year, children visit places which enhance their learning in different areas of the curriculum.
In the Autumn Term, the school participates in an overnight excursion which involves hiking to a mountain hut, staying together before hiking down the next day. This is an excellent example of where our unique family environment works so well as we learn together.
During the Spring Term, students go on age-appropriate field trips. For younger children this is usually 3 or 4 days, while older students may go for a week. These trips are cultural or an extension of our outdoor education programme. Previous trips have included visits to cities in Switzerland as well as Venice and Village Camps in the Ardèche region of France.
Planning is still in progress for the trips in Spring 2012.
