Learning Support

At some point in their school lives, children may require learning support of some kind. Whilst JFK does not have a Learning Support Unit, a Learning Support Assistant is able to give support to individuals and groups of children on a timetabled basis. It is the desire of the school that every child should be able to successfully access all parts of the curriculum.

However, where learning support on a 1:1 basis is deemed necessary by the school, then the costs of such support will be met by the parents.

All children will be assessed prior to entry to the school, to ensure that in the school’s opinion, at the time of assessment, access to the full range ofcurricular studies will be possible.
