GENERAL INFORMATION > goals

1. To provide a curriculum for international students.
2. To prepare our students for entrance into English-language secondary schools.
3. To promote effective communication while providing a strong foundation in the skills of reading, writing and mathematics as well as in science, social studies, French, art, music, drama and physical and health education.
4. To provide an environment which encourages creativity, decision making, risk taking and problem solving.
5. To expand the learning process beyond the classroom by drawing on the resources of the local community and through sports, excursions, interest groups and extra-curricular activities.
6. To help students develop an understanding of themselves and others through interaction with all members of our school and local communities.
7. To promote a global point of view by encouraging appreciation of and pride in each student's own culture as well as an understanding and tolerance of the cultures and beliefs of others.
8. To consistently impart the widely-accepted values we deem important:
a) the value of the infinite worth of each individual
b) the value of information and knowledge as opposed to ignorance
c) the value of self-control
d) the value of respect and consideration for others
e) the value of good communication
f) the value of responsibility and self-discipline
