The Overnight Hike is held at the beginning of each school year. All the students and staff at the school hike into the mountains and spend the night at one of the Swiss Alpine Club Huts. This is an excellent opportunity for everyone to get to know each other.

Every October JFK celebrates Halloween with trick-or-treating in the morning, and a Halloween disco in the evening.

A day focused on peace. Children's presentations are followed by a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.

JFK Boarder Christmas is held at the end of each Fall term, and is a favorite among the boarders. Christmas carols, a lovely christmas dinner and presents!

Students work hard throughout the fall term to perform infront of a 150+ audience. Some of the plays that have been put on over the past few years include; The Wizard of Oz, Oliver Twist and Peter Pan.

The Craft Fair is a parent run annual charity event held in conjunction with the Christmas Play. Since 2000 JFK parents have raised over 50,000 Swiss Francs for the school.

For close to 30 years the annual Fondue Party has been a highlight of the winter season. During the afternoon a ski race is held for everyone, followed by an evening on top of the mountain enjoying cheese fondue and traditional Swiss music. After dinner everyone skis down the mountain under torchlight.

The Eggli Barbecue is an annual event for all JFK students, parents and friends. It is held on top of one of the most beautiful mountains in the area. Great food, and a very popular jumping competition make it one of the kids favorite days!

The winter term ends with an awards ceremony, where both the students and the ski teachers are honored. Beginning with a lunch at school with all of the ski teachers and ending with an award ceremony and student presentations.

The Fun Run is an annual charity run where students, parents and staff run or walk for 1 hour to raise money for a children's hospital in Wamba, Kenya and various other charities. Over the past 19 years JFK has raised close to 300,000 Swiss Francs!

At the beginning of every spring term JFK students have the opportunity to practice their oral communications skills by presenting a speech to their class. 3 - 4 students from each class are then selected to present their speech in front of the whole school community.

On the second last day of the school year each class sets up an open house where parents are invited to come and see what the kids have accomplished over the year at the Kennedy School. Student projects, art work and regular class work are put on display for all to see. This is followed by a Strawberry Tea in the school garden were refreshments are served.

All parents and friends are invited to the JFK end-of-year celebrations. A graduation and awards ceremony is held in the school garden. Followed by fun family games, live music and a delicious barbecue.
